Welcome to the IRIS website, a dedicated social support network that is only available to users of the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Recovery Support Service.

IRIS is here to help you feel better. We'll support you with tools and tips to help you cope, making it even easier to get through those tough times in future. We know that asking for help is not always easy, but IRIS is a safe and trustworthy space to where you can choose the right support for you.

  • This website provides a peer-to-peer support network and website to help people with complex needs who may struggle with managing intense emotions, with painful histories or difficult relationships.   It also provides information for clinicians and for carers and families.
  • It's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  It is moderated on a daily basis a team made up of clinicians from the Recovery Support Service and ex-users of the service who have recovered and want to share their own experience of what was helpful for them. The moderating team will look to guide and support you when you become a member of the site and check in daily to offer their help and advice when needed.
  • If you are a Facebook, or other social network user, you will probably find the support network fairly easy to navigate around as it looks similar.  If you are new to a social network environment do not worry as there are others on the site who will guide and help you along as you get used to the way it works.
  • It is important to note that this is not a crisis service and should not be used in such a way. The local crisis services and other support organisations can be contacted through our website and will be part of your agreed care plan with the Trust.

By becoming a member you are accepting our terms and conditions aimed at keeping you and all the users of this site safe and secure.

Note:  IRIS is very new, and the developers are keen to make you feel that it is YOURS.  So, please do make suggestions and let us know what you want to help make this a meaningful resource for you.  One way to do this is to go to Forums (via the Support Network) and post your suggestions there.  Or, if you know anyone involved with IRIS, let them know.
